Tracker for Holy Spirit Featured in The American Organist

Bond’s Opus 27 in Holy Spirit Episcopal Church in Missoula, Montana, featured in Dr. Nancy Joyce Cooper’s new recording, is also featured on the cover of the September, 2002 issue of The American Organist, the official journal of the American Guild of Organists and the Royal Canadian College of Organists.

The organ is described in detail within the magazine, with articles by Richard Bond and Grant Edwards on the company’s philosophy and a report from the church on the process of selecting a organbuilder and the congregation’s reception of the new instrument.

In a timely coincidence, Opus 27 has also received the first of its "prepared" stops (those included in the original design but not contracted for in the original installation). An 8’ Oboe was added to the Swell in August, 2002, completing that division. A Zimbelstern has been installed as well. Both additions were gifts of Missoula’s John Ellis Foundation.
